About Shona

Shona Vertue believes that the greatest barriers to physical transformation are rarely physical. Instead, they lie in the beliefs and behaviours that surround it.

An Australian movement educator, personal trainer, yoga teacher, and psychology graduate, she combines exercise science with behavioural psychology to help people build stronger bodies and habits that last.

For more than twenty years she has coached everyone from professional athletes and world-renowned performers to complete beginners, developing a reputation for translating complex science into advice that feels refreshingly clear, practical and compassionate.

As the creator of The Vertue Method, Shona challenges the idea that health is built through punishment, perfection or relentless discipline. Instead, she teaches movement as a lifelong skill: something that should improve performance, longevity, confidence and everyday life.

Through her bestselling book, podcast and educational platforms, she reaches a global audience united by one simple belief: fitness should give you more freedom, not more rules.

"Shona changed my perspective on yoga. Working with her made my aches and pains after playing disappear."

I am not currently accepting new private personal training or yoga clients while I focus on finishing my psychology qualifications and continue to build the next chapter of The Vertue Method. I can't wait to share it with you soon.
